Hello :)

We came up with a new idea to promote BSD mag and spread the word about our magazine!

Place a post on your blog, website or friendly portal related to Unix or BSD about the latest issue of BSD magazine together with the cover image

and send us a link to the post.

The first 30 people will receive a free pdf subscription to BSD magazine!

I´ve already been doing it for more than a year now .. since: Wed May 14, 2008 2:10 pm to be precise .. although I could never found a reliable source to get big, nice looking pictures of the cover of the mag so I opted for linking to your page and to the freebsdmall.com page.

PS: I forgot .. If you can provide me the covers you´d like me to post, I´d add them. And, just in case, I think it would also be a good idea to create a few of those small banners (like those from spreadbsd.org that you can see on my signature) so we could also use them.

Thanks for suggesting this -you are right, it would be a good idea to prepare a few banners and high resolution covers for people visiting our website.

I will make sure it appears soon:)

Also, you already have BSD subscription or would you like to get one? :)

A few days ago I found some covers (from issue 3 to issue 5) in here: http://www.bsdmag.org/files/bsdmag/Cover/ and I’ve used that URL to link to the covers but it doesn’t seem to be an official link (or a “use this link to show our covers” kind of link) and still couldn’t get the covers from issues 1 and 2 …

Regarding the BSD subscription, sorry but I can’t afford it (I managed to buy issue 1 back when it went out but then the dollar sky rocketed in here .. :(), but if I can get one for free .. well that’s an offer I can’t refuse ;D

PS: I do have another idea but I can’t post it in here .. if you care to send me a mail, I’d be glad to let you know about it.

Admin, I have not gotten the PDF issue email yet. I did subscribe via FreeBSD Mall and have gotten the latest issue though.

Sorry but I have to add a me too in here .. I haven’t yet gotten neither my free subscription nor my paid one (I did subscribe to the .pdf version for one year starting with issue 3 on June 29 through the bsd mag website … POLCARD SA took my payment).
